The vision that fuels our Children’s Ministries grows out of Jesus’ words in Mark 10:14, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”
In the midst of a consuming ministry to adults, Jesus regularly ministered to children. We believe the future of the church depends on effective ministry to children today.
All of our children's workers have completed at least one level of Children Ministry Training and have been certified. This means that they have authorized us to conduct a background check on them.
We have a comprehensive Children's Ministry program:
GOSPEL PROJECT BIBLE STUDY
Sunday's at 9:00 am We have classes for children of all ages.
We believe it is important for children to see their parents worship. Because of this we encourage our children sit with their parents during the 10:30 service. Halfway through the Praise and Worship, the school age children will be directed to go to Kid's Worship in the annex. This is a worship service designed especially for school age children.
We also realize smaller children have a much shorter attention span. For these we offer two classes during our worship:
- Nursery -- The nursery is for children from 3 months up to age 3.
- PRESCHOOL WORSHIP -- This class is for children age 3 through 5.
AWANA Clubs helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Our programs offer a proven approach for evangelizing and discipling kids in the church and community.
As a ministry leader for 60 years, AWANA is making an impact. A recent national survey found AWANA to be as important to our alumna's spiritual foundation as all other church activities combined. Among alumni who participated in our programs for at least six years, 92.7 percent still attend church at least weekly as adults!
We have two clubs that meet each Sunday at 4:00 pm during the school year:
- SPARKS - For children K through 3rd Grade.
- TRUTH IN TRAINING (TNT) - For children in 4th through 12th Grade.
